The souls of the people disappear and are replaced by plastic souvenirs made in China.
The inequality in the world and the mutual distance, experienced by many, are the elements that characterize my work.
In my autonomous work I have been able to give shape to my fascination for the role that architecture and urban planning can have on the actions and well-being of people. My experience with the transition from deplorable living conditions to an environment with light, space and opportunities to provide for the basic necessities of life has fueled this fascination.
The desire to give shape to this was realized by documenting the designs that alleviated these circumstances. Both the here and now of daily life, as well as the backgrounds, traditions and heritage that have shaped the communities.
My work is by no means merely a matter of registering and sitting back. It is a means with the aim of contributing to the happiness and cohesion of communities. A means to reach a common goal through differences.
This goal, people at the center, with photography as a means to view and interpret the understanding and mutual communication that arise through my work.
